Can you adjust the alarm settings?
Yes, in the PowerChute software, UPS's that are connected to computers can have their sensitivity settings adjusted, as well as specify what hours you want to disable the alarm, if desired. Also, see instructions to set alarm mode via power button.
Will the USB Ports on top of this UPS continue to charge devices when the power goes out?
Yes, as long as there is battery power in the UPS, the USB Ports will actively power your Smartphone and other USB-charged devices.
How do you turn off the alarm?
You can temporarily mute some alarms (On Battery, Battery Disconnected and Overload) with a 1-2 second press of Power button, which mutes alarm until the condition is reset. Critical events (i.e. Battery replacement) require unit to be turned off.
How long will this UPS power my system when the power goes out?
Runtimes of any UPS will vary based on the amount of power required by your connected devices. In the PowerChute Software, you can see 'Estimated Battery Time' based on the power-draw of your connected devices.
Can I plug a printer into this UPS?
Because of the high power draw of most printers, and because printers are generallly non-essential devices in a power outage, it is not recommended that printers be plugged into the battery-backup outlets of this UPS.

This battery backup is designed to power wireless home networking devices (router and modem) for hours during utility outages so you can stay connected and productive. Connect and charge mobile devices via the 2 USB port provides a maximum of 1.5A . The USB port will provide power when the UPS is both on utility and battery power. This computer backup offers lifetime guaranteed surge protection with a $75,000 equipment protection policy. The side of this 850VA UPS includes 2 keyhole sockets to easily mount the battery backup on a wall in hard to reach installations. The outlets are arranged with spaces to accommodate both average sized power plugs and transformer block power plugs. This UPS has a 3-year warranty and CE product certification.
